Angelfish, by Laurence Yep

The book Angelfish is by Laurence Yep. It is about a girl name Robin, she is a Chinese-American who loves ballet. One day after practice she and her friends were walking home. When she threw her backpack at this guy who she hates, she accidentally hits the window of a fish store. The owner was really grumpy and everything that he said was like an insult. So in order to pay back for the damage that she causes, she had to work there for three months. In her ballet class they were going a play call “Beauty and the Beast.” Each and every day she realizes that the store owner Mr. Cao was like the beast in “Beauty and the Beast.” She realizes that he may be mean just to protect himself and that he can be very nice as long as you look deep down inside them. This book teaches people about how you should never judge a book by its cover. That quote mean that no matter how something or someone may look you don’t always know that’s in the inside until you figure it out, otherwise you are just judging things by the look of it.

I would recommend this book to other because it is very good, exciting and has lots of drama. If I were to rate this book from a scale from 1-10 this book would be a 10 that’s how good it is. This book teaches about how everyone has its own personality but just by looking at a person you really can’t see how their like or see what their going thru in life. So looks make be very deceiving. So before you start to judge someone you should try to get to know them they may even act different. If someone acts a certain way doesn’t mean that, that’s their true personality. So read this book because I know that you would really like it if “you’re a person who aims for their goal.”
